Digital Mapping Project: Group Meeting Progress Report

Details of Meetings (who, what, when, where):
Meeting #1 (10/26/11)
· We met in a reserved room on the third floor of the CULC and worked on our group contract.
· In attendance: Ryan Simpson, Mary Mayfield, and Nat Estes
Meeting #2 (10/30/11)
· We met on the third floor of the CULC and worked on our proposal and process plan.
· We also explored the technology needed to create our map and ensured that we knew how to embed it into a website for general use.
· In attendance: Ryan Simpson, Mary Mayfield, Doug Walker, and Rachel Puechner
Meeting #3 (11/2/11)
· We met on the rooftop of the CULC and worked on our proposal and process plan and this progress report.
· In attendance: Ryan Simpson, Rachel Puechner, and Nat Estes
What was discussed?
Over the course of these three meetings, we finished our group contract, brainstorming, proposal and process plan, and this progress report.
What has been accomplished so far?
We have split up the workload and tailored it to our specific interests. We have met all deadlines for the process work as defined above.
What new goals were set? Tasks assigned?
We set deadlines for each portion of the project to be completed and assigned specific tasks to each group member.
Any problems or setbacks? How have you/will you resolve them?
So far, we have not had any setbacks or other issues. All group members have been productive and offered creative contributions to our project.

Two meetings -
First on Sunday- all in attendance, at Matheson Perry Hanson study lounge.
Second on Wednesday- those listed above in attendance at CULC breakout room.
What was discussed?
In these meetings, we talked about specific locations of Oliver’s travels and discussed how to put together the historical information within a bubble for the map.
What has been accomplished so far?
We have all gotten our information on the specific areas of focus and compiled it so that we can add each segment to the Google Map we are building.
What new goals were set? Tasks assigned?
We kept the same goals and tasks that we previously set. On our meeting Sunday, we plan to review the research that we’ve each done and make sure that it all follows a cohesive argument.
Any problems or setbacks? How have you/will you resolve them?
So far, we have not had any problems. All members have contributed and have regularly attended meetings.
